New 'Star Trek' TV Pitch Is Within Early Development, Particulars Revealed

David Promote is probably not voyaging where no males have gone before, but he is really coming back to lengthy untouched territory together with his new "Star Trek" pitch. Apparently Promote, who's the mind from the sci-fi production company 1947 Entertainment, continues to be focusing on a "Trek" television pitch since 2006. He and also the late Kevin Severson acquired the idea, and after Severson's dying this year, Promote has ongoing to try and make their dream a real possibility. According to Foster's interview using the folks at TrekWeb, he's getting pretty near to making that happened: "The series concept is fully developed, susceptible to change obviously, having a solid 5-7 year series plan, pilot script along with a conceptualized finale that expects to define 'Star Trek' for decades, extensive character bios, costume and ship/set designs, and much more ... This can be a drastic departure in the typical 8-10 page management of the formerly pitched Star Trek series ideas that haven't incorporated a pilot script." The timing from the series continues to be considered too, so don't be concerned about this conflicting using the current mythology from the "Star Trek" world. Foster's story is placed after "Voyager," and will not conflict with J.J. Abrams' film series since that's occur another timeline. Though he's spoken to CBS about his suggestions for a possible reboot, Promote stated he has not formally pitched the network at this time around. This is not the very first time Promote has tried to reboot a vintage sci-fi television series. He labored with Richard Hatch to try and make "Battlestar Galactica: The 2nd Coming" in the late 1990's, but that project never found fruition. He's trying again with this particular "Star Trek" series, and expects to come back the franchise to creator Gene Roddenberry's original vision. "The series is extremely vitalized having a much more youthful cast, and uses cutting-edge future technologies with recently imagined effects and fashions. It offers Klingons, Ferengi, Andorians, Vulcans, Trill, and much more,Inch he stated. "The Klingons are becoming very restless because the Praxis incident forced them arrive at the peace tables, and have finished needing to depend about the Federation for support. The Ferengi have found a huge new resource which has powered them towards instant riches and energy beyond anything they've formerly experienced." Not intrigued enough?
