'Harold's Going Stiff,' 'Darwin' take Austin awards
Narrative feature "Harold's Going Stiff," directed by Keith Wright, and docu "Darwin," directed by Nick Brandestini, were top those who win in the Austin film Fest, which runs to Thursday within the Texas capital. Video clip honours visited "Salar" for narrative short and "The Great Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore" for animated short, making both films qualified for Academy Award submission. A unique docu jury mention visited "Goold's Gold," directed by Tucker Capps and Ryan Sevy. "Behind the sun's raysInch was the champion from the Youthful Filmmaker's Competition. In the fest's Saturday honours lunch, The Actor-brad Pitt was honored using the fest's first acting award.
